From the Planetary Governor
To the people of Planet, greetings!
In the years since our arrival, much has been made of what keeps us apart as a
species. Divided not by nationality but by ideology, it is said that conflict is
all that's common among our colonies.
What is worth remembering, however, is how we came to Planet united as explorers, builders,
discoverers, and conquerors. Here
we have witnessed a social and cultural flowering unknown to Old Earth for it is made possible
precisely by our common origin and our common heritage.
Therefore, I am pleased to inaugurate The Planetary Anthology—Planet's
first inter-faction Project—as a celebration of what brings us together.
The root of the word "anthology" means "gathering of flowers"
and so we gather together these flowers of the Chiron Renaissance.
